Freightwaves reported Laredo (trade volume up ~10% in March), surpassed the busiest port in the USA (the LA/Long Beach combo, down ~10%), to claim title to doing the most trade in the nation. Tariffs and tensions with China have everything to do with these fluctuating volumes, which represent a change of $2B in trade at each port from the previous reporting month.
All this huffing and puffing…is this supposed to increase trade with Mexico? I suppose this was completely intentional and a very great victory…
