Capacity is moving to meet the surge in US-Europe trade (between 6 and 7% increase both ways so far this year), as more US-China trade trends down (around 6%). As the mega container ships prepare to meet increased demand, the US is imposing $25B in tariffs they\’ve threatened, with the EU threatening back with $15B in tariff retaliation.
