Hello everyone! It’s been a HUGE year here at Bullwhip, and we want to share some of it with YOU!
5 years after starting this as a side-hustle, I had a pandemic-induced vision of Bullwhip filling a massive gap in the Winnipeg (and everywhere else) market for small businesses. From vague idea, to opening day (we are somewhere in the middle), it’s quickly becoming more and more real. Please stay tuned!
In 2021, we have started assembling a team to explore new opportunities, expand our services, and execute on what works (and expunge what doesn’t, excommunicate pandemics, etc…). As a result, we’ve hired some very good people, purchased some driving gloves (and vehicles), moved (twice) into a warehouse space, upgraded our tech, started working for free, and are reaching out to more good people like you!
It’s been an incredibly tough 2+ years for everyone. We are so grateful to be speaking, working, and sharing stories with so many resilient Winnipeggers and Canadians!
Despite any differences, we are stronger together.

The Team
Owen has been busy at the U of M working on his business degree over the fall and winter. We expect him back for the spring and summer with his usual energy, positivity, and banter! Ask for him, by name.
Bjorn has decided to continue recovering from back surgery out in sunny BC (we miss him, but can’t really blame him)! He is considering a permanent move, and we will be ready to welcome him back in a few years (they all come back to Winnipeg eventually 😉).
Ray joined Bullwhip in October 2021, to run the truckload and LTL business. His extensive background in transportation operations, strong work ethic, and deep knowledge of silly / dirty jokes are instrumental in day to day operations. Ray can be found at extension 104.
Austen joined in February 2022. A small business owner himself, his extensive knowledge of web design, integrations, and marketing quickly made itself evident. Helping connect customers to our upgraded site, 3rd party providers, e-commerce, and anything tech related, Young and Associates can help your business as well! Justin has joined Chris and Mike on our driving team in March 2022. He’s diligent, hard-working, and eager to learn, and once done training as a driver, will focus on a local dispatch role and “other duties, as assigned”. Help welcome Justin at extension 103!

The Fleet
Bullwhip has acquired a fleet of 3 delivery vehicles to deliver parcels and pallets around town, and western Canada. We plan to increase the size of these baddies when we get more!

New Services: by Small Biz, for Small Biz
Warehouse: We now offer space for pallets, by the month for one low price!
Pick and Pack: We store, inventory, and distribute your items in Winnipeg and around the world! In most cases, the money you save by shipping on our account pays most (if not all) of your pick and pack fees!
Distribution: We have introduced $5 Tuesdays and Fridays to help our Small Businesses friends get the goods delivered around Winnipeg, on a budget!

Fun Stuff
We had a Doughnut Race against the clock delivering Oh! Doughnuts! all across Winnipeg (as far as Lorette), for the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce!
Result: Ray delivered in Lorette with exactly 1 minute to spare. Go team!
We have also teamed up with Janice Howard at Revive and Thrive, 2 buildings down at 1032 Logan Ave. They are a super-cool thrift store up front, and a charitable upcycling facility down back. They help underemployed Winnipeggers further develop their work skills, and give them the break they need to show them off!
