Among holidays, Halloween is fairly minor in terms of consumer spending (if you count Halloween as a holiday). Still, $9.1B is some big chunk of change.
The total breaks down fairly evenly between costumes, candy, and decorations. Greeting cards (still a thing!) gets a small piece, too.
